How accurate are fortune tellers/psychics?
I went to see one tonight and they told me a lot, even things others couldnt know.
She also told me I will be pregnant by sept and it will be a girl.
What do you think, would u believe it?

Answer by James Michaels
You should not trust these people. They will scam you for your money and pretend that they know things which are just impossible. Watch James Randy take down Sylvia Browne, one of the better known charlatans to get an idea of what crooks these people are. Don’t believe one word.

Answer by 忠実空狐 Cuddle☯Fox
I don’t believe in predicting the future by supernatural means – and I’m actually a mystic.

Divination is a tool to analyze the past and present.

Answer by Courtney

Answer by Kevin7

Are fortune tellers real, shall I believe what she told me?
When I was young, I was about 13 I went to a fortune teller who was this Turkish lady she said she can tell I will be very well off and rich when I’m older, than my teacher said she can imagine me being very well off when I’m older. I just finished school and already have a very above average paying job, with a great wage.
Some times I have a funny feeling I will be, I have been studying 4 books and I read two of them in 1 day and took loads of notes (the books are: the power of positive thinking: norman vincent, the law of attracton: sonia ricotti, and the secret by rhonda bryne, 48 law of power: robert green) Since I have been reading these books I started to believe I will win the lottery, well last week I brought 6 tickets and won on 3 of them! the first I won only $ 150, the second I won only $ 50 than on the third I won $ 9,000

I keep attracting money to me, so now I am buying 6 tickets a week to see if I win again because I really believe what the fortune teller told me! one time I went to a bingo hall to play bingo and the people in the hall who were playing to were maddd… I won 8 games out of 15 hahaha it was awesome I came out with over 25K and I was only 15 :) It just seems like money keeps flying to me like I’m a magnet, do you think the fortune teller was right when she said I will be very well over and make over a million???? are fortune tellers accurate?

the luck is in my family, my parents won over a million 6 years ago

The only psychics id believe are the ones who do it for free. Why do I believe you ask? My cousin is an empath and reads tarot cards. My tarot cards were pretty awesome.

Somoe psychics are the real deal. Others are total frauds.

Keep a skeptical, but open mind. You may have found one of the real ones.

sounds to me like just another type of crap shoot…..it’s your gamble/gain or loss!

Make the fortune teller tell you something that no one at all could possibly know, and if they say “I can only predict your future!” they’re fake.

Also, say something like, “I work in so and so and i am up for a promotion, will i get it?”
But just make something up, like somewhere that you don’t even work, and depending on the answer the answer itself should be easily seen.

luck and fortune telling is just another way of people scamming poeple. life is what we make it. if fortune telling was real, every fortune teller wouldnt be a fortune teller, they would be rich and successful.

Fortune tellers are sham artists. Dont believe them.

If you want to believe Satan….I hope not for all he says are lies{eventually} and deceits and at the end leads to Death. Don’t even Play with this. Satan can make things happen that look good from the outside…but He hates man kind and Christ, and he is out to destroy you… leans towards Christ and Rebuke Satan at any thought of him. God be with you in life and His Truth of His Word Only.

People see what they want to see.

The fortune teller could have just been judging by your dress and how well off your family is. Typically people from well off family are well off, rich kids become richs, poor stay poor. For the most part anyway.

If you want to be successful or rich then you can not rely on luck but need to learn how money is made, old saying is “easy come easy go” if it comes easy it will also go easy, come back to earth, learn , be calm and you will do well, fortune tellers only see part of the story, that is why god does not like them as they lead people in the wrong direction, like your thoughts now

Victorias secret is a good job for someone who just left school but when you get older you’ll find that the opportunities for earning aren’t as good as more specialised fields. Also 2 young kids will take up a lot of resources (congrats on the baby by the way :) ) So basically how wealthy you will be will come down to yourself, your work ethic and a bit of luck. Don’t listen to fortune tellers because they usually just tell people nice things that make them feel good about themselves.

Going to a have your fortune told only lasts until you finish and leave. If it comes true it is because you still follow the path you were on when you had the reading. In the end it is your choices which allowed that fortune to unfold as you went through life.
Funny how a prophet (who is nothing more than a fortune teller but is sanctioned by the church) is to be believed yet a self proclaimed fortune teller (not sanctioned by the church) is linked to the devil. Both are psychic, and both fore tell the future. The only difference is as I pointed out. One is sanctioned by the church (usually a priest of monk and always a man) while the other is not (and is usually a woman) Joan of Arc was burned as a witch when the church got what they wanted out of her. She was declared a prophet then a witch. Go figure.

Its possible than again not. Most of the time positive thinkers like yourself brings there luck to them. How we react and how we deal with life tends to bring us to better or worse situations. There are always two sides to every story, or three in my opinion. The bad, the good and the neutral. Remember to not get to greedy because if lets say your buying these tickets more often and you don’t win in the next 2 months you could be spending what you gained and more.

It’s also good to spread the money around not to say pay for this or that for your friends but I mean like donations or say buy lunch for your coworkers (not letting them know it was you), because you could get resentment form them.

I don’t believe in fortunate tellers because I don’t think my life is predetermined. from the sounds of it you sound pretty smart and take advantage of your achievements. Just keep a balance, enjoy life because you don’t know if you’ll live for tomorrow but don’t spend too much because you could live the next 100 years. I’m christen so i believe you are blessed as well as your family. It’s also possible that you and your fam. have very good hearts and that is why you are so blessed.

So your teacher (who doesn’t claim to be a “fortune teller”) made the exact same guess as the “fortune teller,” yet you think the “fortune teller” has some kind of magical powers? Hello?

Yes, “fortune tellers” are real people. No, they cannot “tell the future.” Neither can teachers. Both can sometimes guess correctly, though.

    Peace.

  16. Andyboy June 9, 2012 at 4:27 pm #

yes a few can, depending how clear they are in my experience.
i have an intuition [as l do sometimes] that you will have riches sometimes , but also sorrow over riches through relationships.
You will meet a very well off man not long from now.
This is set up to develop your spirit, using what you are attracted to.
HE is slim and a powerful energy man, not to tall and darker hair.l see his hands out side ways in a hey! type gesture, with his head on an angle.
Don;t worry about disbelievers, go your own merry way

I hate to say it but Mooze DID bring up a valid point. Like… we don’t actually care that you don’t care about what we think…but it really is a rather unattractive photo. Maybe a different pose… or a better bikini would showcase your assets more attractively. Just saying!

As for the fortune teller question…how many fortune tellers would stay in business if they told you they saw you were going to catch venereal warts or die of cancer? Both of those options are probably as statistically probable as you ending up becoming a millionaire, and yet they choose to focus on the MILLIONAIRE bit! See what I mean?

Besides which, employing fortune tellers is a form of divination, and also astrologers are a.k.a. “an observer of times”, BOTH of which are directly forbidden by God as being an abomination. Since you put your question in the religion and spirituality category, perhaps you might want to know that. Dunno.

There are LOTS of people in this world telling you you create your own destiny….blah blah blah. You are busy reading some of their books, I see. IMHO, it is GOD who holds our future in His hands, and in this life we are called upon to submit our will to HIM! That way, no matter WHAT happens to us we will be okay with it, AND we won’t have set ourselves up for heartbreak if we don’t end up millionaires… or whatever it was we THOUGHT we had to have! You know what I mean?

Man your pretty. Your chest is like whoa, don’t listen to Mooze. I’m sorry about that. Well yes they are real of course cause you encountered one. The question is-do they really know what they’re saying?. Some do but then again some don’t. Some are scams but it’s confusing because even the ones who scam still know what their talking about. Did she read your hand, read cards, or contact spirits or anything like that? OK here’s the catch, if she really knew it would be from the devil. If she didn’t she’d be a scam. But either way she’s a scam. The devil is a liar and even if truth were to come from him it wouldn’t be the whole truth. Check out these sites if you want to. Biblically you are to not see such people.

You can believe her if you want to. But I would advice you not to. Even if what she said were to be true. If it’s true than it’s true for a bad reason. I believe you get money the way you do because you’re lucky. Unless, there’s something funny going on? By the way, those books you mentioned in the second paragraph, I’d keep away from them if I were you. I read the Secret and it says that you use your mind and things will come to you and that you’re god. But the Bible says that in sweat in your face you shall eat, not that you get food by thinking it to you. And we are not God.
